Western Bittercress

Location: Western U.S.
Setting: wild , prefers sunny locations, fields


DESCRIPTION
Type: Annual
Height: 4in to 2ft
Stem: branching
Leaves: basal pinnate leaves in rosette with opposite orbicular or reniform leaflets. 
Some species small pinnate leaves at nodes with opposite lanceolate leaflets
Flowers: cruciform four petals, white, small, cluster at end of stem
Fruit: tiny brown seeds in small, long, narrow pods

Look-alikes: other mustard family plants (not likely to be toxic)
